The ITFA Board is proud to announce that it will support the Junior Diabetics Research Fund (JDRF) in loving memory of Martin Ashurst, our dear friend, guiding light and mentor to so many in the forfaiting business.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their strength lies in their exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. JDRF works every day to change the reality of this disease for millions of people and to prevent anyone else from ever knowing it, by funding research, advocating for government support of research and new therapies, ensuring new therapies come to market and connecting and engaging the T1D community.
To donate online, until the 5th September, please click here. Alternatively you will also be able to donate at the Gala dinner. ITFA will match the total amount collected so that we will have a substantial amount to donate to this research fund, which was so close to Martin’s heart.
Whilst we do hope to have your support on this initiative, we urge you all to be generous. We will then announce the sum collected on the last day of the conference. Let’s all work together for this worthy cause.
ITFA is pleased to have also supported the Moorfields Eye Charity. Mrs. Evelyn Wynne, the wife of Geoff Wynne, who will be this year’s photographer in Edinburgh, has chosen to donate to this charity rather than taking a fee for her services. We would like to sincerely thank Mrs. Wynne – such a lovely gesture!
Together we can all make a difference!
